International expansion
client request
Recognising the increasing importance of its people and their contribution to their plans for international expansion, P three was approached by Pearson-Harper Limited a leading content engineering company to assist them in developing the capability of it senior team to make best use of their skills and talents to achieve it expansion plans, increase productivity and plan for succession as the partners became less involved in day to day operations.
approach & methodology
The project was comprised of two stages. The first stage, carried out in close consultation with the business partners and Non Executive Directors, supported by a series of interviews with senior staff, was a research and literature review examining the available documentation regarding the strategic direction, operation and performance of the company. This review was in turn to form the basis for the project’s second stage – the design and delivery of a bespoke leadership development programme for the senior managers that would focus on talent development, leadership excellence, strategic thinking and team working.
solution & benefits
Drawing on the vast experience of P three, the analysis of the internal practice of the organisation was placed into the context of the strategic growth objectives of the business. Comparing its actions with its ambitions enabled the development of a range of activities resulting in productivity gains, cost savings and evaluation of future schemes in the light of a rapidly changing work environment.
The need to expand the skills of the senior team to include business process improvement expertise was identified and P three supported the recruitment process. In doing so, the client’s overall objective – to enhance the contribution of their people to achieving international growth – was achieved. The business has expanded operations into Australia and is currently exploring the feasibility of working in Dubai.
